She fell in love with the mountain town and her husband, and works at Mi Hair when not caring for her two children. Mhairi worked as a hair stylist in several top salons in Aspen for five years before opening her own salon - Mi Hair in December 2011, to the delight of her clients. She says that, "Staying on the cutting edge of style is my job and my passion", and she is able to do so through continuing education. Mhairi became a Goldwell color educator in October 2015. Mhairi worked as a Goldwell educator from 2015 to 2018, when she decided to step down and spend more time in the salon behind the chair itself.
